As a Barclays Technical Lead, you will be working on projects under Markets Post Trade area. Designing highly scalable application and developing Microservices, GUI, Implementing Functional solutions, unit test & coordinating releases and where applicable contribute to design sessions. Interacting with end users & product owner to understand their requirements and building solution pertaining to that. Working as a part of a local team and liaise regularly with colleagues in other regions. 

What will you be doing?
•    Working regularly using excellent Java and development skills, including multi-threaded programming and SQL experience
•    Understanding the requirement and creating architect for the application from the base
•    Effectively communicating with end-users and other developers in a global, team-based environment
•    Communicating thoughts, designs and implementations in both written and verbal form
•    Ensuring that all activities and duties are carried out in full compliance with regulatory requirements of Barclays

What we’re looking for:
•    Four-year college degree in Computer Science or related field and extensive professional experience building enterprise scale applications
•    Experience developing mission critical applications in Java11 or higher and experience in Spring framework, Spring Boot.
•    Experience in messaging technologies such as MQ, Solace, Apache Kafka
•    Exposure to caching technologies such as Apache Ignite, Redis etc.

Skills that will help you in the role:
•    Solid understanding on Java framework
•    Experience working in an investment bank preferable
•    Working knowledge of Agile and Scrum, DevOps and exposure to Cloud technologies will be an added advantage

Our Prague office is based in the financial center of Prague. We are part of the Operations and Technology Division, and as such, we try our best to stay at the top of our technological game.
